The Endless Campaign

President Obama, I’m sure, is sighing with relief. With the debt deal in his rearview mirror, he can once again concentrate on what really matters—campaigning. Although, if you think about it, that’s pretty much what he’s been doing for the past two and one-half years. It’s so much easier than governing.

Now that he’s back on the campaign trail, I thought I’d offer a political cartoon bonanza on the subject today. You see, I’m not the only one noticing this.

I’ve mentioned his changed way of speaking before. Be prepared for it to become a staple as the election draws closer.

He will undoubtedly take a balanced approach, as he did with the debt crisis:

And he’s going to encourage everyone to vote, particularly one class of people:

His blatant politicizing has alienated even some of his best friends:

The problem with that teleprompter is that it has a built-in memory, unlike most voters:
