The man on the right is Rahm Emanuel. Most people don’t know who he is, but he’s been around for quite a while, and has a reputation for carrying out political strategy. You might call him the ultimate insider due to his ability to use the system for his advantage.
Emanuel was a chief advisor to President Clinton, then became a congressman. His tactics can be described as ruthless—he accomplishes what he wants no matter how he has to do it.
Now he is Obama’s chief of staff, probably the most powerful man in the White House. Back in November, after he was named to this position, he made a comment that set the tone for this administration.
You never want a serious crisis to go to waste. . . . Things that we had postponed for too long, that were long-term, are now immediate and must be dealt with. This crisis provides the opportunity for us to do things that you could not do before.
The crisis, of course, is the economic situation. What are those things that they now can do? Have the government take over the economy, for one. Create government healthcare for another. They have also slipped in other things.
It’s not just the economy that this new administration wants to run. It desires to redefine the culture. If anyone still thinks that Obama, Emanuel, and company are going to govern from the “center,” that person is not paying attention. They are taking advantage of the crisis to take apart the Christian basis of our society. I keep saying this, but I’ll repeat it one more time: if you are a Christian and you voted for Obama, it’s time to wake up.
